Title: Anyone have a spare fork/tube laying around?
Post by: BrianM on July 23, 2007, 12:54:49 AM
I blew a fork seal due to a nasty ding in the tube (that I did my best to repair when I put in seals a couple thousand miles ago).  It's obviously not going to be repaired, so replacement is the next best option.  I'm lookng for Cheap, cheap, cheap...

Cheers... :beers:

Cant say the shipping would be very cheap, but Wyoming isnt too far from CA.

Ill let my entire B4 front go for 40 bucks plus whatever shipping is.I just want it gone from my garage......15K miles old, they have brandnew seals and oil, both complete tubes, axle and trees....

Depending on shipping, I'll take you up on that.  Back when I was shipping a dozen forks a day, UPS was the cheapest and cost $10~12 to ship anywhere in the lower 48.  Though I'm not sure if that was a business price, or if rates may have gone up though.  That was also with efficient packing in the smallest boxes we could get away with.

Anyway, if you can get me a "To my door" price, I'll give you a quick yes or no.  It'd be a residential address (though I can do business too, see if it saves anything) to 82520.

Cheers.   :bigok:

USPS seems to be the cheapest these days, and if I break the forks/trees down,I can slip it into a fairly small, oblong box.

Id say your estimate is about on the money.I wont have a chance to get a real estimate since my work week starts tommorow and Im out in the boonies from sunup to sundown.....wanna just call it $12 for shipping and go from there? Like I said,I just want it all gone from my garage.
Paypal is good for me.

You outta have it by Tues or Wed.

No problem.
One of my pet peeves are people that sit on orders that have been paid and waiting.

Hey,come to think about it,where the hell is my GSXR400 swingarm already!!???
;-) J/K,Jay.
I know that isnt an off-the-shelf item and it needed some custom work to boot.

They showed up today, and the box wasn't even beaten to a pulp (that's rare for me).  Everything looks good, thanks a ton.

If you ever need a reference for buying/selling stuff, feel free to send them my direction (brianm "a@t" darladog.com).

I'll be    soon.
