Broken Key Blues
« on: February 06, 2006, 11:09:09 PM »
Hey does anyone have any suggestions on how to get part of my key from the ignition.  It broke just below the stop and I can see it inside but im not sure if I have twezers small enough to get in there.
Looking for a way to get the key out without calling a locksmith.  Of course I may end up doing so but if anyone has a suggestion please let me know.
thanks as always

Thought I would let all that care know that I got the broken key out of the ignition thanks to the old man that owns a local lock shop.  He has taken a liking to me for some reason and came over to the house tonight and removed the key for me, free of charge, and will be cutting me a new one as soon as the blanks arrive.  He does insist on calling me Mikey, not sure why, but I guess he can call me whatever he wants for making a house call and extracting a broken key for free.
