Hi,
Does anyone know if you can fit a Bandit 600 fairing onto a Bandit 400?
LOL I bet this question has been asked a thousand's of times before?
-
Dunno...
I seem to remember people fitting Ninja 250/500 fairings on it though. Truthfully, if you -really- want to make the 600 fairing fit, it will. It just might take a lot of work.
-
Anything is possible but that would take a lot of fabricating and still might not look right. There is nowhere on on the B4 to mount the stay. I've seen some AWFUL hack jobs bolting stays to the pretty B4 frame. :gagme:
-
thanks guys, it would be nice to have a bit of wind protection, shame about that though I think the front of the bike looks sooo sexy without a fairing :)
-
A year or two ago, while browing the magazine rack in the grocery store, I was leafing thru a car rag when a Bandit caught my eye.
In addition to the custom car featured, the car owner also had a B4 and he'd grafted on the fairing and front forks from a 2G B6. When I first caught a glimpse of the bike, I thought it was a stock 2G B6, but after looking at it I realized it was what the caption said it was. Since the article was more about the car, they didn't go into details on the bike, but from the pics that had the bike in it, it looked like the guy did a top notch job of making it look like it was built that way.

You know, right now there is a stock Bandit 400 fairing on Ebay. It's more a headlight cowl than anything, it might be just what your looking for. If not that, maybe a Buell flyscreen like Rob has? Really any windscreen for a 6.5" or 7" headlight will work.
-
Yep any windscreen will work. Just find one that'll look good and give you the protection you need. If that one on e-bay interests you but goes out of your price range, let me know...I have a factory fairing just like it that I need to sell. Good luck, there are tons of options out there though.

I don't remember where I saw it. but someone actually made an aftermarket full fairing for the B4. I think it was a Brit or Euro site. I believe it was some sort of racing accessory. Nice-looking if you like that kind of thing on your B4. Sorry I don't have a link, but try a Google search for it if you're interested.

Wild Hair Accessories (http://www.whaccessories.com) used to list a really sweet looking 1/4 fairing for the B4 made by Gimble, a German company. It's not there anymore. Maybe check with them to see if it is still available??? It kind of looked like the old GSXR fairings with the twin round lamps. I love that look. They do have a bunch of other universal fairings, though. Click here (http://www.whaccessories.com/Fairing.htm) to see them.

Here's a pic of the Gimble from Wild Hairs gallery.

lol...I bought one off Ebay the other day, unpacked it and it looks like a little Mosquito bite. Cost me £25, what a waste of money...The ones on the website you guys kindly gave me are totally out of my price range, missus would hang me out to dry if I bought one of those  anyone fancy swapping one for a Brand new AMD64 3000+ Retail boxed CPU? These cost around £90 or so.
-
Check out Poly26. They've got a killer ZX7-esque full fairing there. Not sure of pricing though since the site is French.

Whoa, that looks sweet!
-
vive la frances
it does look amazing but its too clean
good sectionals though for maintenance
probably costs way too much
my favorite has to be the limited V of japan though
its like nothing else, really puts the b4 into a classic league

Welcome to rgv 250 plastic! :stickpoke:
-
YES the RGVs even the early naked ones
always looked better than
all the latest suzuki _Vs
-
Wow, that Poly26 kit looks amazing!
-
Thats RGV plastic? I've never seen an RGV before, just pictures of the swingarm.
Personally, while it looks cool, I prefer the naked look of my bike. No fairing for me!
-
not exactly but verey similar! would fit up the same !
-
I love the look of that RGV plastic!!!
I'd like to have that on my B4 but it would be a waste. It would end up with huge scratches all over it no time at all.

Hiya,
Are you saying then that a RGV 250 fairing would fit a GSF400...If so, there is one up for sale that I would go for.
Thanks
-
Fit? Probably with some adjustments/tinkering. I haven't done it and haven't heard from someone who did it. The pics indicate that it could be done. Having done a few other mods, I can say that unless you talk with someone who has actually done the mod, there's always more involved...not undoable, just more involved. That's my cheap .02 worth
-
That 500 is one eggy bastard. PS the faired B4 looks erotic (not that limited V edition hate that ghastly thing, there were 2 where I bought my B250 from)
