1) does the gk73 gsxr400 engine bolt straight up to the B400 frame (same year/model)?
2) what are the differences between the two? carbs, cams, etc?

yes they bolt right to each other , differences depends what year b4 your talking about and mainly the transmission gears are different! 73 we are talking right oh and the oil pan but you can bolt the b4 oil pan to the gsxr 400 gk73a and so ...
