Jet Kit Install?
« on: May 14, 2006, 12:11:35 AM »
Well, after a long wait my jet kit finally arrived. I haven't found any Bandit Specific DIY's online. I came across this jet kit install on a 2002 Zx6. Can you guys tell me how it compares to installation on the bandit?

Also, does the install require a drill?

It's much easier then the ZX6 install you found.

With bandit 400 jet kits all you need to change are the main jet, jet needle and slide return springs. You don't need to drill the slides. If you bought a factorypro jet kit you may need to drill the white spacer (dynojet kit doesn't require drilling the spacer).

Let the carb fun begin...

I'm too lazy to go find it right now but there's a good how-to over in either the bigger Bandit or General Mechanical FAQ, too.  If they've never been drilled out, you'll need to drill the brass plugs over the a/f screws, I believe.
