Bandit 400 Carb. Emulsion Tube O Ring?
« on: April 25, 2013, 10:13:58 AM »
Anyone know a place that sells the o-ring that go between the plastic part of the carb and the emulsion tube? I've checked Bike Bandit and it doesn't show on the fiche. Any suggestions? Any other resources?

Thanks in advance for any help.

I supply a full set of 20 o'rings in Viton to rebuild the B4 carbs, they are £15 posted to the USA.

I just went to a hardware store and found ones that sealed. That's all that matters if the o ring seals it works. No need to order fancy exoensive ones; cost me like $2 for 15

I've had fast delivery from http://www.theoringstore.com/

I found that the larger float o-ring (listed here as 7.5 x 1.5) can be replaced with 7.1 x 1.6 and it has slightly more snug fit (which is a good thing).

Does this kit include the emulsion tube o-ring and pilot screw o-rings? If so, I'm certainly interested.

Sorry not to have got back sooner.
Set includes all o'rings in Viton to rebuild the full bank of carbs.

The reason the Viton o'rings are so expensive is that they are fuel resistant unlike the cheap Nitrile ones you get from the DIY shop.

I am thinking of buying from there also. In the FAQ, the o-ring sizes are listed as:
Emulsion tube: 10x1
Pilot air screw: 3x1
Floats:            5.5x1.5 and 7.5x1.5
Diaphram lid:    4x1

I assume that means a 1.0 mm cross section and the other number is the width? I just want to be sure before ordering. Thanks guys.

Yes, that's right.
