Thought some of you might find this ebay write-up funny.
Link -- crack smoking bandit seller (http://cgi.ebay.ca/Suzuki-Bandit-GSF400-Suzuki-Bandit-400-cc-RED-1991_W0QQitemZ4631483011QQcategoryZ50026QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem)
Pardon my french, but I think he's been dropped on his head a few too many times.
-
You canucks and your French! :stickpoke:
The guy doesn't even have the specs off the right bike!
Front brakes: Dual disc
-
really? can a bandit400 can out run the 2 stroker in the strip?
here in the philippines, we tried the honda super4 vs bandit4, gosh bandit4 outruns the honda super4 in the quarter mile.
stock to stock category.
Ride Safely

The seller on ebay is claiming it can. He seems to think it could hold a candle to an RG500. But he is seriously misleading potential buyers.
I'd also like to know where he got his a $6500 dollar appraisal (thats $5,675 US). Ha.
-
It wont outrun a RG500 gamma those are insamely fast when set up properly and just bloody fast when there were left stock.
It will run with if not out run a NSR 400 honda 2 stroke. I know cause there are 2 of them that ride with us all the time and i can beat them any time anywhere. even after they have been rebuilt I can run and hide lol
-
That guy is what we Aussies would call a "fairdinkum wanker".
MORE FASTER than an RG500? I really don’t think so, even with the poor grammar. Maybe the RG you rode had a couple plugs missing. Even an RZ350 would annihilate this thing. You have gone beyond misleading.

A: With RZ 350 no problem but with RG500 yes the RG500 is more powerfull but same wait without problem. Here is spec of GSF400 ENGINE Type 398 cc, liquid cooled, 4 - cylinders in line, 4-stroke Bore x stroke (mm) 56 mm x 40 mm Valves 4 valves per cylinder Power 54 hp (40.3 kW) @ 10600 rpm Torque 38.2 Nm (28.2 ft. lbs) @ 9600 rpm Dry weight 165 kg (363.8 pounds) Here spec of RG500 ENGINE Type 498 cc, water cooled, 4 - cylinders, 2-stroke Bore x stroke (mm) 56 mm x 50.6 mm Compression ratio 7:1 Fuel system Mikuni VM28SH Ignition Suzuki PEI Power 95 hp (70.8 kW) @ 9500 rpm Torque 71.3 Nm (52.6 ft. lbs) @ 9000 rpm
I'm still trying to work out how he figures a 54hp bike is going to be quicker than a 95hp bike.
-
He's obviously an arsehole who needs to be taught a lesson. The Bandit 400 is a great little bike, but 2t racers can outgun many bigger bikes
-
I think what he meant is RM500, suzuki's dirtbike.
Didn't he know that we had 500cc 2 stroke GP bike raced with 1000cc 4 stroke?
-
but I don't believe an RM500 puts out 95hp,
I still say the guy is a WANKER..........
-
Mick, it doesn't. That's why bandit will outrun it.
-
Which is the point I was making - he quotes 95hp from a RG500, which I would believe, not power figures for a RM500.....
Said it twice before, here it is again, wait for it,
THE GUY IS A FAIRDINKUM WANKER......by the sound of him, I would piss on him if he was on fire....
-
I think he's been using the drugs he's been selling.
C$4200 for a '91B4 w/44K Km's?
Even the starting bid of C$2500 seems on the high end!
:toofunny:
ANY 2-stroke?
That's an awfully big category. It would include the >175mph TZ750, too. (He didn't say street-legal.) It also doesn't take a lot of tweaking to make a fast RZ350 (he didn't say stock, either). I'm pretty sure the old Kawi & Zook 750 triples would outrun it, too.
Heck, I had my '75 RD350 over 110 mph... and it had no trouble dusting SOHC 750 Hondas of the day in the 1/4... even the stock 1G DOHC ones.
(It wasn't exactly stock though)
