Hey all,
I have a bunch of parts left over from Dita's parts bin, that I'd like to get rid of.
All parts are best offer, and I will donate 20% of all proceeds of the sales to the board's operating costs.
Most of these parts came off a donor bike, we can't recall which year, but it would have been a 91 - 93 Canadian Model and no VV.
CDI- Windscreen - Hardware that I was going to work with to fit, no original hardware. This screen requires some repair, All of the mounting holes could use reinforcement. When I spoke with some people who do this for a living, they said it was no problem to fix, I just didn't get around to it. With the exception of some sanding, it's exactly how it arrived to me. Originally, this screen was a navy blue. I can post pictures of the work required on the screen if needed. The picture of the bolts, nuts and washers in the bottom left picture are of hardware we'd bought and were going to use to mount the windscreen once I finished it.
- Starter
- Clutch - Originally from gixxer400Racer
- Air cleaner covers - someone had painted these flat black and silver, but they can likely be rehabilitated
- Front (15 tooth) and Rear sprockets (aftermarket - 47 tooth Originally from PitterB4) - Some wear but good shape otherwise
- Rear sprocket - OEM 46 tooth Originally from PitterB4 - Some wear but good shape otherwise
Regulator Rectifier - Original for the Bandit 400 (The bike sold with the CB400 Rectifier on it)- Oil Pressure sensor with Cable
- Clutch Lever
- Clutch Cable
Aftermarket coils- OEM shock for a Gixxer 1100. Never did get around to installing it. Would fit,... ?? The B4, B12?. B6?
- Also, one Givi 755 Windscreen, used twice on the 919. I didn't take the time to fix the rattle it had. A couple of rubber bushings would have taken care of it. http://www.twistedthrottle.com/trade/productview/732 Flat black.
All technical questions, I will likely defer to r_outsider, so please be patient when waiting for such responses.

Update (and bump)
So far, I've had inquiries about the Rectifier, the CDI and the coils. Nothing is firm yet, but I will post when any of these firm up.
This means that all of the parts are still available.
I'd really like to see the CDI go to a Canadian bike, just because I'm very sure that it should work for these bikes.

Long shot, but you might have tossed them in the parts bin because you thought they were worthless, but you don't have the piece(s) that clamp on top of the handlebar and hold it to the triple tree do you?
-
I don't no,.. I'm sorry. It's weird though, because we had the bars off of that bike,.. you'd think we'd have grabbed them.
r_outsider thinks that almost any bike with 7/8" bars may be a possible donor for you,...
Try Honda, they're really good about stocking / not discontinuing parts for older bikes?

Regulator Rectifier is gone

Thanks, yea, I tried the ones off my FZ1 and it appears that the location of the holes/distance between them is not something that is standard. Looks like interfuse is gonna get me hooked up. interfuse rocks!
Thanks for looking though, I appreciate it.

do you have a fuel tank ? :banghead:

Ouch. No I don't. I'm not parting a whole bike, just what you see in the list above. Have you tried the for sale section of the forums? I haven't looked lately, maybe someone's parting a whole bike.

Stormi, I am interested in the ignition module so let me know if it is still for sale and what you are looking to get for it. Also could you confirm the part #, the one I have (not working) from a '91 400 is 32900-10D00.
Thanks,
John

Hi John,
Unless you have a Canadian bike, or are willing to make some other modifications to the bike (including parts I can't supply for you) I don't know if you can use the CDI. I don't know what the part number for the CDI is, the sticker was gone when I got it. I'm 99% sure it's off a 92, and so should be the same as the one pictured in post #11 in this link - http://forums.banditalley.net/index.php?topic=12835.0 which looks suspiciously like the part number that you mention above.
It -is- still available in the event that you believe it will work. The other person who was going to buy it, and has gone dark on me, felt that $70 was a fair price?
Edit: Found it,.. this is the original thread that was posted, and where the bike parts came from: http://forums.banditalley.net/index.php?topic=5019.0
It's a 1991 Bandit,.. so the part number should be the same as the one in the other link above, and the same as the one you quoted above.

Stormi, Guess I will go for the module - shoot me an email, and I can get a pay-pal off to you. My shop manual shows the same ignition set up for all versions, and the part number (32900-10D00) is what shows in my fiche for 91-92, so hoping it will make some sparks...
Thanks,
John

Oh John,
The guy that was going to buy the cdi contacted me today and let me know he still wants it and sent the money. He was first in line, so I really need to get it to him. I'm sorry about that.
-
John, PM me about this. The other person who wants the CDI and I would like to see if we can find a way to get your bike running for you, but I want to keep it out of this thread, just for cleanliness.

Will fit all 1G & 2G B6 & B12. Will be better for heavier rider (than GSXR750 shock). Will increase rear ride height slightly on a 1G B6, pretty much neutral on 1G B12 & 2G B6, slightly lower on 2G B12.

Thanks for that input Red. :thumb:

Stormi,
Do you have pics of the oem windscreen? I see a link to a pic, but it isn't working for me. Thanks!

LMAO!! That's one of the better error messages I've gotten in a while!!
"Bogus Huffman table definition"
I don't know who Huffman is, and what his Bogus ideas have to do with my pic!!
I'm attaching the original images (larger), and also some closeups of the work that needs to be done to the screen
