Title: bandit 400/600 have 41mm forks tubes?

so if bandit has 41 mm fork tubes and a bandit 600 has 41 mm fork tubes they should slide right into your triple tree, maybe new front end for some?

Yeah, but why?  Honda F2/F3/VTR1000(superhawk)/VFR and a few others all have 41mm forks too, most of those with cartridges.  It all goes back to that basic thought of Why change the forks if you're not going to upgrade them to cartridge?  Dual disc breaks aren't enough reason for me (and are actually undesireable ~ I like stealth mods)

I'm hunting a cheap pair of F3 or VTR forks as they have external rebound adjustment but no compression (pistons are built different to compensate) that I'm going to put into the B4 lower legs.  I want to keep the OEM appearance but get better suspension performance.

Putting F3 internals in SV forks is a common mod so I guess it should work on a bandit.  I like keeping the OEM look too... so I just bought the whole CBR.   :monkeymoon:

I have to say - if I still had the B4, my next move would without a doubt be getting dual discs up front.

Quick question sort of on topic.

How many front end bits are interchangable between the GSXR400 models with the inverted forks ('92 onwards?), and Bandit 400 models with 'rightway up' forks?

My 400V has braided lines and dual discs. At some point in the future, I'd quite like to swap the forks for USD forks. If all the other bits were interchangable (wheel, triples, discs, pads, lines, clipons), all I'd need to swap would be the forks.

Is this doable? Are these Bandit bits interchangable with the GSXR400?

El dopa

to swap out the front end you'd need (not a finite list just off the top of my head)

yokes top and bottom
clipons
some means of mounting your clocks and headlight
axel
brakes
wheel (and spacers)
disks

All OF IT

unless someone else knows different

Andy

wheel, brakes and disc's should be the same if you have the 4 pistons brakes

That's if you have a twin-disc B4.

The 400V I have has twin discs - 2 pots each side, 4 in total.

I'm trying to work out which front end parts would be interchangeable with GSXR400 USD forks.

Probably none, maybe the brake calipers and discs if the discs have the same diameter as the GSXR400 ones.
