hi everyone,
my bandit won't start!, ok for a bit of history, my bandit broke down last fall, CDI malfunction.. got the CDI repaired, and then found out I had an intermittent coil (it tested fine when I was trouble shooting for the CDI)tried sourcing a coil all winter via ebay and other avenues..
I final got a set off ebay.. they tested fine
put everything back together and the bike won't start!..
-tested the coils/plugs for spark. they seem good (strong spark)( and the resitance is with-in spec!)
-I smell gas on the plugs
-the battery is chagered and the bike turns over easy but doesn't start sometimes seems to almost start kinda like a stumble...
-what is the correct wiring for the coils??? the 2 wires which one goes were?
-is there any special priming I should be doing?
-I am gona get some new plugs friday ( the current one are abit black ( the electrode)
I remember reading that the B4 is hard to start if it sa for a while????
any sugestions...
thank you

as for the wiring, if your sitting on the bike:
left coil - orange wire with white tracer plugs into the bottom
- white wire plugs into the top
plug wires: top goes to 1st cylinder and bottom to the 4th cylinder
right coil - orange wire with white tracer plugs into bottom
- black wire with yellow tracer plugs into top
plug wires: top goes to 2nd cylinder and bottom to the 3rd cylinder
as for the starting, make sure you have good gas goin to the carbs, and I think it would be wise to try some new plugs. the plugs on my bandit can be very sensitive sometimes like that. if it still doesnt start, spray a bit of starting fluid in the air intake in the back of the air box, after it sits for a while sometimes that helps to just get it goin again. good luck.
