Bit of sympathy!
« on: May 18, 2005, 06:58:25 PM »
Hey guys im feeling a bit down. Took my bike to the garage a week last saturday. Just needed some general things doing such as the clutch, a new rear tyre, chain adjusting, new fork seals, general service and a few other very little things. Its been a week and a half now and i still have no bike. This has meant a bus trip to work for the last 7 nights. Its cost me more for that than it costs me to run my b4 for 3 weeks. Ok so it takes a while for my seals to arrive, but he got them yesterday and still no news. Starting to get a bit mad, the weather was great last week, but its been down hill the last few days and the outlook for the week ahead is looking grim. It will probably be snowing by the time i get it back!!  :boohoo:

Don't feel down, my bike's been at the shop for over two weeks! I haven't even been on a bike yet this year. I'm praying I get her back by the weekend.

several years back I sent my bike to the Vance & Hines center that used to be here in Monrovia because my jetting was off and it was running terrible.  They told me the emulsion tubes needed replacing and they would need to order the part.  Back order after back order and cross-shipping after cross-shipping, it took 3 months for me to get my bike back.  Hopefully you don't have to wait that long.

same story with my tranny
on the good side at least
you don't have to do the dirty work

you should plan out a nice ride for
yourself for when you get it back

After my bike sitting at the dealership waiting for a new headset for a week of beautiful weather, I won't leave it there until they have the parts IN HAND!  As long as the bike is running, I want it available to me.  But, I'm lucky, the dealership is only 5 minutes away.

Thanks for all your sympathy guys i think it did the trick too!!! :thanks:
I finally got it back yesterday afternoon. The belly pan is on ( which ive had since january) and ive now just put my new radiator cover and rear bandit stickers on. All thats left is to get my seat recovered which i hope to do next week. I cant wait to get it finished. Although i wont be able to do much riding just yet because all i seem to do is work. I have a little time off in June though when my brother comes home from the USA for a couple of weeks so maybe ill sneak a ride or two then!!
Thanks again guys!

Where did you get bandit stickers for the rear...mine look like crap, so I could use some new ones as well.

I got them from a site http://www.rsgraphics.co.uk . They look good, i wouldnt say they are perfect, but they do look good. Quite cheap too £1.74 each and you can pay through paypal if you have an account. If not i think they take cheques. They have loads of other stickers too.
