Title: Big tires on a little bandit.
Post by: ovlovder on April 20, 2010, 08:09:29 PM
So, I know a 180 rear tire on a bandit is sort of silly, but Im swapping swingarms and the wheel im using usually has a 180 or 190 tire on it, so, Im feeling like I should just go for it instead of finding a narrower wheel...  Same on the front, sort of need to go to a 120...

Anyone have a similar setup?

A few people run wider wheels that give 120/160 so if the rear fits it should be ok to go 180 altho the extra rubber will add weight and slow the turn so its swings and roundabouts. You may need to space the front spocket- you can line it by eye when the wheels in. Regards fronts if you got the twin disc B4 then you can run a gsxr4 91- wheel and get 120 and ya discs will fit.

How about mounting a 160 to a 5.5" rim?

Here is Bridgestone's recommendations for the BT-021 Sport Touring tires...they suggest a 4.5" rim for a 160 tire.
