Title: Brake Line Question
Post by: dpgasser on April 21, 2005, 08:58:56 PM
Sorry if this has been covered before, but I need some suggestions...

I would like to eventually replace my front brake line with a steel-braided line.  But I noticed that the B4 has some type of cylinder mounted beneath the bottom triple clamp that the brake line mounts to.  Is this cylinder thing necessary?  Have others that replaced the brake line use two separate lines and retain this cylinder, or do you bypass it and use one continuous line?  Thanks for any and all advice.

Dave.

I remove the interconnect when I change the front to Hel SS brake hose, so the line joint direct from the pump to brake caliper.

Yup - I have one continuous SS line as well.
