I'm sorry, that's impossible to fix. :duh:

You'll have to get a new bike.  :monkeymoon:

Seriously, do a little web searching on "plastic+welding" - that's how you fix it.

lol.

The best thing I've found is to use Araldite (the two pack mix stuff), and some strips of old net curtain.
You build it up behind (as you would if you were fiberglassing something), out of sight.
It'll be stronger than before and waterproof, so won't fall apart over the winter.
I tried this on the mounting point of the tailfin of my 400 Impulse last year, and it's still going strong.

(Oh, and I used it after the plastic weld stuff came away from the bodywork... soooo much better.)

OK cheers guys for the help.  Im going to try the net curtains and 2-part glue method.  Another question, how would i go about hiding the join/crack.

I think i need to fill the gap with filler, or filler-primer.

I can source the correct paint in a can or bottle/brush.

Do i only need to paint (with brush) in the crack, or do i need to sand a small area and then spray that also.

cheers

If the crack shows, fill it, sand it, paint it - but forget the brushes, use something that'll spray the paint.
