how do i post a .PDF file so you guys can check the fine out.

also now that i have calmed down a bit, how come the guy tuned me i was doin 212km
but if i remember now my speedo needle was just past the 180 mark and bounceing a little.
I had her at full throttle and the rev counter needle was sitting on 14 000rpm.
She was still pulling hard before i jumped on the brakes when i heard Metro behind me.

Does this now mean i can get clocks that display up to 220km and put those on the bike.
Maybe the b6 speedo :?:

oh...my...god... 212km/h
Congrats and my deepest sympathy at the same time.

It seems the needle is very inaccurate on high speeds, i remember reaching 180 with the revcounter at 10500. I can never get the rpm higher, but i suppose that has something to do with the lean setting on the carbs (gotta do those shims one day).
Well, at least you know how fast your bike's going...

Get a set of Canadian B4 clocks. My speedo tops out at 220 km.

If the final transmission is 14-46 and the outline of the rear tire is 1855 mm the speeds are 158 km/h at 10500 RPM and 211 at 14000 RPM. Highest speed possible at 14500 RPM is 219 km/h.

This is always correct for me if I compare the rev counter with the speedo.

In some Aussie states the speed limit is 120km, in NT there is NO speed limit, but the roads a really really really really straight - no corners, zero zilch, zip - well maybe one or two, however a good handling bike is required to dodge the wildlife, both animal and human....

HAHAHA...That's brilliant! They've kept the highway speeds around here at 100kph. Mind you the Police won't look at you unless you're doing 20 over. And I think they jacked them up around the Toronto area to 110 kph and some stretches of the Trans-Canada Highway.

I guess kangaroos flying in front of you creates it's own speed limit! :scaredmouse:

We've got natural speed bumps up here in the spring....Pot holes. All the ice/snow and cold temperatures (not to mention crappy road construction techniques) combine to have great chunks of asphalt come off, or fall into crators about the size of your front tire.....makes me shudder just thinking about it.....

Not to make you mad again Lowkey...but what was the fine?

it was R2500 ,im not sure what it is in ozzie dollars tho. and get this if they catch you on your cell phone they nail you for R1000

i was more impressed with the speed at which he nailed me at
212km. I was so convinced that the bike topped out at 180km that i thought
this oke was talking crap. I was even in the mood to argue, had his big bulky mate not jumped out the other side of the car looking very flustered.

oh well another one to add to my collection

Pete - from my experience, you'd have tire tracks on your back if you tried to go less than 120 on the QEW or 401!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ain't that the truth Rob! I live out in the boonies right near the Ontario/Quebec border. Toronto and the QEW are about 4.5 hours from me (at the speed limit!) and we ALL drive at the speed limit down here....religiously....

Sorry LowKey my mistake I thought you were in Australia too. Just another  question....how do you talk on your cell phone.....at 212 kph....on a motorcycle....(just kidding)

That's about 457.39 in Canadian Dollars. Either way that still REALLY sucks.
More than 50 kms over the speed limit here and you get an automatic court date and  subsequent licence suspension.

Anyway LowKey like Farre said that speed is awsome! I'm sorry about he way you found out! ..........and Good luck with the wife...

thanx Pete , things will come right im sure.

 im not actually to sure what they would do if they caught u on ur cell on ur motorcycle
i was talking about when i was in the car but it would be intresting to see what they would say cause as far as i know there is no law done here for talking on ur cell while on a motorcycle.

yep i was also stocked to see that my bike could do 200km so now im on the hunt for
a speedo that indicates 220km for my B4.
do you think B6 speedo would work  :?:  :?:

I'm not sure about the B6, but Interfuse was right my Canadian speedo tops up at 220kph.
I thought speeding tickets were supposed to be a deterent for driving FAST......not a motivation to measure the illegal speed more accurately!! (just kidding .....AGAIN)
