Title: Carb sync
Post by: andylad on September 20, 2010, 01:14:13 AM
I'm searching for sync kits and DIY kits and have found some with guages.  If I go the route with guages, what would be an acceptable reading to make the sync the other ones to?

Not quite sure of your question...

I use a Morgan Carb Tune. Great set-up. See here:

As far as what guage reading, it doesn't really matter. The actual amount of vacuum will vary with actual engine rpm. The important thing is to get all carbs to have the same vacuum at something close to idle... say 1200-1800 rpm. So, you normally adjust the right and left "pairs" of carbs, then adjust the pairs to match. You will likely have to adjust the idle rpm as you go along.
