Drugging cluch. Is it normal???
« on: December 24, 2006, 01:06:43 PM »
A while back i notesed that when i blip the throtle to shift in lower gear i can feel and even hear like a smaal bang inside the gear box and it feels like the cluch is draging. When the bike is rolling in nutral (slowly) and i put it into the first (with the cluch desingaged) i can feel the bike slowing down, again if the cluch is not fully desingaged. The free play is ok.
I dont really know much about it so just looking for opinion.
Was thinking of buying a rebuild kit but want to know if that will solve the problem first.
Cheers.

maybe time to replace your clutch plates check for grooves in the basket make sure the clutch big nut is tight and replace the springs with new ones

Hey Jay, i did a bit of searching and came across this site http://www.bitzforbikes.co.uk/myproducts.php?BikeID=302&year=8577# and i noteced that they have CLUTCH FRICTION PLATE KIT and CLUTCH METAL PLATE KIT. So im confused at the moment as to wich set i need. because on this site http://www.gear4bikes.com/acatalog/Suzuki_Clutch_Kits.html they only have one Clutch kit. I know that i'll need the springs as well .So will the EBC Clutch kit and a set of springs do my rebuild?
Cheers. Enjoy Christmas and time off.

i know im a bit demanding but could some one answer my question bout the ClutchKits. Or do i have to take the Clutch apat first to see what needs to be changeged?
I just wanted to have everything i needed before taking it apart so i could put it together same day.

I get more and more stuff to change but very little time to ectually do it.
Cant wait to get everything sorted before the weather gets better. Honestly, its raining 24/7 here in ireland, at least not very co;d, can ride all year round.
cheers and happy new year.
