Hi Guys , is it the same method to de-restrict a 2nd Gen Bandit 400vv as it is with the 1st Gen Bandit 400.
My mates bandit maxes out at 160kph and mine's a 1st Gen and it maxes out at 220kph ????
Any Ideas

Are all B4s restricted? I have a 93 American model. I've done around 113 on it, but I was just letting it do it's thing it in sixth down a long hill.
-
of course they are restricted . . .
ie. first and second gear ignition retardation so you basicly don't flip the bike. . . . . .
my back wheel will spin like a Mo Fo in third gear hard accelleration on damp ground, whilst over-taking or hitting the gas hard, but not in first or second
:boohoo: :bomb:
and my bandit four, VVT, japanese import, 98 model, Black (why any other colour) standard
does 130mph
but i'm wanting to do this so i can get a cheap run-around for work and the bandit for the weekend run on the track
i'd suggest you look your spec up on

Sorry i none for sale and you can de restrict by modding your neutral switch
-
i'm guessing here if i set ground the switch then i'l get the bike thinking it's in 6th gear,
but, the bike thinking that and all ,no neutral light and blah blah,
what's your recomendation?
-
no that neutral switch needs to have the epoxy dug out of it and re wired to think its in 3rd all the time then there is NO restriction. Do a search on here for restriction.
