its getting hot and dry in Southern California,
but there is lots of blue sky.
Which makes for great pictures and interesting rides.

Do you think my beat up 91 bandit400 can
make through hot desert 116 degree weather?

It has sat through hot 109 degree LA stop&go traffic
without hesitating or overheating.  It still eats a bit
of oil every 3rd tank, but runs strong and gets good MPG.

If you think it can make it through the desert,
what precautions should I take/think about for the bike?

If the bike handles the stop & go of 109* LA traffic, 116 down the highway won't be any problem.
