Title: differences in V-trec MkI and MkII systems . .
Post by: Tainted-Meat on May 30, 2010, 06:32:40 PM
been thinking for a while now    the V-Tec models . . .

what's differences in the systems between the Mk II 53hp model and the  Mk I 59hp models?

I know the Mk I model has both inlet and exhaust in synch with the V-tec system but the Mk II model only has it on inlet . .

any ways of removing electrics and exhaust cams, harness, ECU and swapping ????
would it be worth it?

Thanks

hi TM,
Which way ya want to go? The MkII went with standard exhaust cam as it had a much smaller affect on the way the bike made its power and the cost of servicing the twin cam VV was killing sales so Suzi went with the simpler VV inlet cam. Im sure most of the 53bhp restriction is in the different trigger and cdi that the 93 bandits had.

how would the trigger be altered to allow for those extra horses ?

and how do i 'hack this mo-fo CDI' . . . through tricking the bike into thinking it's in fourth ?

cool . .

really want to know how as the power is getting rather boring and need the extra kick . .
