Last Wednesday.... :crybaby: :crybaby:
I just got word from home that my new exhaust has arrived, and normally every other part that i needed for putting my bike in order was waiting in the hsop for my bank card..
But... on my way home, , actually 2 streets from home, some dimwitted woman decides to pull up right in front of me. And so my bike became a cruise missile, unable to stop till it has drilled itself into it's target. :-(
And it has done it's job quite nicely at a speed of only 20km/h and slowing down. I scratched and dented the back right part of the car (a 3 months-old BMW 118d), but of course i did not remain unscathed myself...
My front is completely gone: front light, dashboard, gauges. Luckily the frame does not look bent or teared, but i have some concerns about the front fork. It's not in it's place anymore, maybe there is some damage...
In terms of cash there is no problem, the other driver's insurance must pay for everything, she made the mistake. She did a maneuvre while i was just following my road.
I think i would've killed myself if i was in error, i would never forgive myself....
I only got it from beginning Nov and just now i started to appreciate it's handling,
why God!! Why so soon!?!?!

Sorry, guy! But my standard response is...thank your lucky stars you're OK!
-
Sorry 'bout your get off. Make sure you get EVERYTHING documented. The insurance should pay to get it all back the way it was.
-
Glad to hear that you are OK. Might be a good time to consider a GSXR front end....
-
Glad to hear that you walked away without injuries. :beers:
-
Thx for the support :thanks:
Indeed, i was lucky this time..
About rebuilding the bike, nothing's sure yet. Oficially i should bring it to a garage and an expert must check it to tally the total costs. 'Officially' the garage should replace all the broken parts with new OEM parts.
I'll see if i can make a deal with him about... anything
P.S.: be wary of female drivers!
-
Hey. doesn't your neck hurt? Sue the shit out the bitch. Get what you can.
-
 Hah! that was exactly the same thing my doc said to me while i was there to check if there wasn't anything worse than bruises.
2 nice bits to know:
If you have a whiplash and you're not in error in the accident, you could get a 3% invalidity on your name. Maybe handy ;-)
If you're a good actor, you can claim your have post-trauma experiences (having recocurring nightmares and such). Then if you're convincing enough, you could be claimed as completely incapable of work and sit on your lazy ass fo' life counting the cash!
My doc's quite helpful  but i won't do this, obviously.
I have some pain in my back, but i think that's due of sleeping in a wrong position

On the bike?

On the bike?
Maybe that's what caused the accident?!

Laugh it up guys!
At least i can laugh about it afterwards
I just hope i can get my bike running again without ANY kind of problem...
