I would like to know just how long does your B4 have to idle before the fan starts? Because i think mine may have a problem.

sometimes mine won't start for days. seriously. depends on the weather and other stuff. I find it mostly like to be noticeably coming on when stopped in heavy summer traffic on a hot day. If parked and idling, it could be never, in my experience. Certainly many minutes.

I've never noticed/heard/seen my fan spin in 2 years. But then again I've never looked at it while it was very hot.

Thanks for the replies guys. Its good to here that its not common for the fan to run. I had a cbr600 and the fan would start even just sitting and when i notice my b4 didnt i got worried. So thanks again.

Pretty sure mine comes on about 210-212F on my temp gauge.
It never really comes on unless its a pretty hot day,and then only when theres fair bit of traffic. It takes a lot of idling to get it to spin, on an average temp day.My TDM850 and VX800 are the same way.....almost never kicks on.The FZR1000 is the lone exception. It gets hot pretty quick so I added a Muzzy fan to help out.
I only waited 15 years, to buy a B4!!
