Title: Fork Setup that works for me
Post by: mgTagGD on September 14, 2005, 08:13:05 AM
After a lot time of experiments nad trouble , i came with this setup that i like.

1) Factory springs(in good condition)
2) Factory spacers 30.5 cm , i had to rebuild them form aluminium 35mm diameter 3mm thick(i think this is thikcer from the OEMs and they take up more room leaving less air)
3) SAE 10# Castrol fork oil 150mm airchamper (no springs indtalled) this is a lot more than the manual says 105mm but it works better for me.
4) lowered yokes 3.2cm
5) statick sag is 28-30mm .This might seams soft but in greece there are a lot of rub roads
6)Rear spring Hyperpro from B600 works in 1-3 positions i use 5/7 i am 82Kgr

handling and stearing are much beter now and the fork does not bottoms.

I have installed hyperpro spring but the dealer and the shop that installs for them prooved to be amateurs and they instaled springs for B600 that are very stiff (the wheel lock easily when braking) and they didnt work with any setup that they and then i tryed.
