Title: gasket question

im replacing my right engine case cover and was wondering if i should put some gasket sealer on the oem rubberish gasket that i got from the dealer? or should the oem gasket suffice?

id look it up in my fsm but i lost it when i was moving i think

any ideas?

The service manual calls for a dab where the cases meet.
