Title: Got my new parts...but im still having problems
Post by: glweek on June 10, 2009, 02:53:39 PM
so in short i could get the bike to run OK...before.  the bike would run and have good throttle respsonse but would die with anything lower then 2k revs.  found that the petcock was letting gas through suction tube.  after draining 1.2gals of oil/gas out of the bike and replacing the petcock the bike runs terably.  it Will start, and it WILL idle now but the throttle response is TERRABLE and even after running it for five minutes every time i turn the throttle at all the revs slowly creep up to a lil past 2k and it just stays there.  literally all i did was change the oil and replace the petcock.  why is it running so poorly now?  any ideas on throttle response?

5 mins just ain't long enough to make a bike warm mate. I'd take it for a ride and see if it clears up.

hook suction tube up or look for air leaks
