the reply for the large number of question on these parts.
I came across a new Bandit 400, seriously brand spankin' new,(600 miles on it) and my old one has many spare parts. I would have sold the old as a complete bike but the valve shaft broke on it, so I will try to sell it in parts. My local bike salvage yard will take the parts, but I wanted to give you guys a first dibs on the parts. Seeing how we have the same interest and all. So if you need parts and I have them. I am more than happy to sell them to you. Don't be shy to make an offer, after all, all I can do is disagree. my email--- cipitillo1@hotmail.com

thank you. Jose
Did you find the bike in the Recycler?
-
No I did not find it on the recycler. The guy who sold it to me placed it on the internet but misspelled the name Bandit. He spelled it Bundy so there was no reply. My coriousity to find out what a bundy bike was payed off. It had been three months since his posting of the bike and no reply. When I came along he was glad to rid of it. He had no Idea what a nice bike he had plus he wanted to rid of it.

Wow, that worked out great for you. I only asked because I saw one listed in recycler but when I contacted the guy, he said he had already sold it.
Have you had the B4 on any of our local roads (Angeles Crest, GMR, Malibu, Topanga)? These bikes love the twisties.

Yes I ride the mullholand road all the time. That is how I get to work into the city. I prefer the ride out to Camarillo past Kanan dune on Mulloland because it's alot more techncal. Last week I installed a 2002 gsxr rear shock and I love it. The b4 already feels alot more controlable at higher speeds. I am building the front end from a 2002 gsxr 1000 to put in the b4 and I can't wait to give a go in the canyons. As for the Ageles crest I don't care to much for it because their is too much sand and the pace is alot faster than the bandit is capable. The bigger bikes have the advantage there. I prefer the b4s performance in the tighter roads. have you made any modifications to yours?

that shock has to be way to long! :stickpoke: i need a wiring harness?
-
No the shock is not too long. It looks great and handles 100% better.

Jose, do you have a Voltage Regulator you could sell me?
-
I'm interested in some parts. Please get hold of me at jcmjrt@yahoo.com. Thanks.
-
I have the parts unless I have communicated with you to let you know that I have sold them.
-
Can you email me at thebandit@cimmeria.com and let me know how much you want for the regulator/rectifier unit? Thanks.
John
-
Hey jcmjrt. I sent a message to the address you left so that we can communicate about your interest in the b4 parts that I have for sale, and there was a reply from you saying that you did not know what I was talking about. What is going on ? Are you interested in the parts or not?

I need the header pipes, which means the whole exhaust system on these bikes, so if it is available, post and let me know.
-
hey 400runner,
can you email back at rnnguyen@yahoo.com ?
im interested in a few specific parts if you have them, thanks!
-
Well, looks like the regulator I got from you was toast. I put a new battery in and the regulator from your old bike and got no charge from the regulator/rectifier, but there's juice coming from the alternator. My old one charged the battery so high that when I took a reading of the batter a week later, it was at 13.22 volts. Looks like my only avenue may be springing for a new one.

Hey KillerB,
Have you tested the regulator. I know it was working when I took it off the bike. The bike had no electrical problems. It was the valve shaft the did the bike in.

Only thing I can think of is to check the wires. They were colored differently than my old regulator (mine had a red wire, black w/white tracer and three yellow. This one had black w/red tracer, black w/white tracer and three black). I put the red end clipped off of mine onto the black w/red tracer and the black w/white tracer from mine to the black w/white tracer. I'll hold the units up next to each other and make sure that was how it was supposed to be. I checked it with my meter and wasn't getting a resistance reading, but I'll take to my local shop and see if they can check it. I know you wouldn't intentionally sell me a bum piece. I'll let you know what I find out.
John

Hey just wondering if you have the coil assembly for ignition 2 and 3
Email me back at justinpaixao@hotmail.com

Bit the bullet and bought a new regulator/rectifier, should have it in 6 days or so. I was told by the shop that I took it to that they didn't have a good way to test it. Rather than spending valuable time running all over God's green earth to figure it out, I decided to get a new one. Hopefully I don't have to revisit this problem again for another 15 years or more.

Do you still have the rear seat witht he rear pegs with brackets? email me at Theman1740@hotmail.com
-
i was hoping to get the wiring harness
or maybe even just the head lamp connector
pm me or email me at fe2cruz@hotmail.com
-
did you get me check?
-
I'll take the gas cap & igniton w/key if they are still available.
Let me know,
Thanks,
Chris
-
Yes I received it on Saturday. I will deposit it on Monday, but I wont send the parts out untill the check clears. I am guessing that if it all goes well I will send the parts out by Thursday. You should have them in your hands a few days after that.
