Title: GSXR 750 Rear Shocks.
Post by: Forde on May 17, 2007, 11:20:26 AM
What years will fit the 400 bandit?  I know a 2006 will but there are bound to be other years that had the same shock.

Also do the GSXR 600s and 750s have the same shock?  I think they do and its just the 1000s that are different.

And does the shock im talkin about make any difference to ride height at the rear?

Cheers  :bandit:

I'd go for an older (GSXR 750/1100W) shock, they are better and fit better than the new ones, for a Bandit 400 that is. The newer shocks are longer and will raise the bike, the W models have the same length as the stock shock.

Thanks for that mate

Im looking for a good shock that will basically just bolt in with minimal fuss.

Are there any others besides the gixxer shock?

I have what I think are the part numbers for the 2006/2007 GSXR 600, 750 and 1000 shocks, as follows:

600:  62100-01H00-163

750:  62100-02H10-163

1000: 62100-41G10-163

2005 below

600:  62100-29G10-163

750:  62100-30G10-163

Not quite identical, but whether there is an actual physical difference? Dunno.

Looks like they were changed in the 2005 to 2006 revision, so if the 2006 is a straight bolt-on, the 2005 may not be.

cool thanks man

i actually read somewhere last nite that the reservoir on the shock was changed on the '06 ones and so it doesnt get in the way as much as on the 05 and earlier.
