'Fits right in' they say  Except for the steering lock which I had to make longer. The clipons would touch the tank so I had to put them wider apart. I had to weld steering stoppers on the bottom yoke. Still need to reroute the cables and adjust some other details.

What about your geometry? LOL just kidding looks great bro now you need a real pipe to go with that nice looking bike
-
Now all you need is a stainless yosh system with a carbon can! I think someone on here is selling one. LOL.
:monkeymoon:

Geometry is great  Fork length is the same, I've lowered the fork 5 mm through the yokes because of the 120/70 tire so no worries about that.
Exhaust project is coming along slowly, still have to spray the GSXR headers and I am making a dual pipe out of PVC pipe. When that is finished I can make the real one from stainless steel with the end cans of the '06 Kawa ZX-10R. Better than a Yosh imo :beers:
-
What year/size was your donor GSXR?
I've been on the lookout for a front end from a pre-SRAD 750 for a while, but they're not all that common down here.
As an aside, I'm having a bit of trouble seeing the pictures. All I get is the 'broken link' red X. Anyone got any ideas?
-
that looks the dogs bollocks mate, gotta get me some downside-uppies
-
That definitely looks bad ass! Too bad you have to splay the clipons like that. How's the riding position?
-
Nice!!

The fork is from a '92 GSXR 750 W. The riding position is something I have to get used to but I think it will be pretty good. It's a big difference compared to the stock fork. It's heavier on the front now and the 120 tire is a bit slower on steering but the bike gives a lot more feedback. The roads are wet and dirty now so I can't go for a good ride yet, maybe in a few days.
-
very nice! how much did u end up paying for that front end? Ive been searching ebay and they go for around 250?
-
looking good Herr Tod.
Just got my R400sp forks for my project.
what is the lenght of the R750 forks ?
about the 6 piston cliper, is any good ?
I have now the bandit 4 piston caliper.
...and what rear shock do you use ?
-
Length is the same as the stock forks, 760 mm if I'm not mistaken. A GSXR 400 SP has exactly the same forks by the way. 6 pot calipers is just masturbation  It brakes very good though but 4 pot calipers will brake just as good, and a 4 pot caliper stays cooler under extreme conditions. The rear shock I use is also from a GSXR 750 W, I had a 750 K2 shock before but the 750W one is much better.
My first priority is to get some other mirrors, these are crap :duh:
