How does the Helmet lock work.  Do I need some type of attachment on my helmet?

The male or female part of the chin part that you clip together usually has an opening that fits the helmet lock.

If you have a Nolan helmet or one witha similar strap lock, you can't use your bike's helmet lock. It's designed to be used with the classic "D"-ring style helmet strap.
