OK I'll ask. I know you'll have the answer Jay..

In my dunderheaded self, what does upgrading the rear swinger have as advantages? And would all of the spacers etc. for the rear brake fit the new swinger?

that swingarm would be stronger yet lighter than your stock one look alot better  and yes the brake stuff would work!

I think that swinger will hit the subframe after 100 mm of rear wheel travel  :stickpoke:

there is a rgv one that looks just like that one too but it takes some spacers ,, and a 1100 gsxr 0ne that looks like that too but would have to modify something to get it on but should still be fairly simple.

you need a 1100 gsxr swinger with a 180 for the 750 motor

He's posted a few more pics.  I think the postage outside the uk will be expensive, check on the parcelforce.co.uk,or royalmail.co.uk website for a guide price.

Have you guessed im interested too!!  Thing is my b4 v, already has a aluminium swingarm, the same as the sv-650, not sure this will add much in looks.

I'll keep checking the auction.

cheers

I think the 2G 400 swinger looks like an SV swinger.  This is a 95 but you get the idea:

like the sv yep that s pritty much what the 73 swinger and a rgv swinger of a certain year look like , every bandit should have a aluminum swinger POO on that steel thing! sure would stand out if you ploished it! You not telling me nothing about shipping I had a gsxr 400 gk76 motor shipped from over there cost wasnt to bad with shipping i still paid less than a dollar a cc to get it here. If you want something for just the look you should go with what her todd and many other have  which is the bannana arm.
cheers

The RGV one does and it seems to have the same height at that point as the GSXR swinger :?:

but you cured that with a slightly taller shock right you used a gsxr 1100 shock or somthing right is like a 1/2 inch taller ? I know if i turn my compression off on my shock it will pack down a hit my subframe undertray with my 02 750 swinger so i just dont turn the compression down.

No I have a GSXR 750 '92 shock which has the same length as the stock one if I'm not mistaken. I had a GSXR '02 shock before but I had to rise the coolant reservoir but that was not possible because of the reservoir on the shock. The '92 shock is better for this bike anyway. The bike got raised a bit because the RGV swinger is shorter than the stock one. The only way to solve this is to cut away the tube where the batteryholder mounts on and weld a new one about 40 mm higher. Or raise the bike with other dogbones, but that will screw up the bike's dynamics.

Well ive just won it.  29pounds including delivery.  I'll let you know what it looks like when its on.  If it doesnt fit and it hits the subframe, ill just change it back and sell again on ebay.

No biggie, it was only 30quid

Cheers for the find jay

Here's to a different look bandit 400 v
