Title: How do I get the throttle off?
Post by: SRwitt on May 22, 2006, 01:03:47 AM
Ok I'm feeling kinda dumb, How do you get the throttle assembly off of the stock bars? I've removed the grip, loosened the screws on the housing and cannot get the thing to budge?

Remove the two screws and the assembly should come apart in two sections. You can then unhook the cable from the throttle tube, unhook the electrical connections, and remove the parts. Good luck!

There is a locator pin in the black plastic housing that seats in a hole in the bar.  You have to loosen it enough to raise the pin high enough to clear the hole.
