Then you need to learn how to hang off the bike more so you can keep it from dragging. :duh:
-
you know, I still cant get my bike ON the center stand! I should just take it off :duh:

hows that make sense mate hang off more to keep it from dragging , if you need that lean angle to make the corner whether you hang off or not the center stand is in the way
-
:duh: Hey, YOU are the resident racer, you're supposed to know this stuff. :stickpoke:
IE; the more you hang off, the more upright you can keep the bike, so if you drag the C'stand, hang off more and put the bike up more.
You might have to invest in elbow & hip slider though...
-
I have no fanny line on my tire and still got the centre stand fixed and it doesnt drag.
-
There must be something wrong with your bike  I tend to drag the part of the frame where the jiffy is attached to from time to time, the centerstand would come about... 30 degrees before that  Seriously, unless the center stand is halfway scraped off already or bend, there is no way to make a good corner.
-
Just ride real slow like I do, no issues
About the hanging off more issue, that just moves the center of gravity lower, to compensate for the lack of bike lean angle. Blahblahblah.
Just take it off if you fear for scraping it. I'll just leave mine on because I'm no where near that aggressive riding, and it's nice for storage
-
My stand might be higher cause i had to cut out a section of the left foot so it went further up without dragging in the chain because there was no cenrestand stop on my new waco exhaust..
-
I have scraped the bottoms of my pegs nearly completely off and my center stand has yet to touch the pavement.
PLEASE IGNORE MY SHITTY BODY POSITION!

Still a ways to go before the center stand hits...and notice the smoke from my boot.
-
yea i used to go through boots till i got tired of paying 300 for a set of race boots then i learned how to position my feet on the dam pegs feelers what are those most scrap those of the first day actually i remove them need the extra lean angle

I think I'd worry more about my foot position. Maybe ride more on the balls of your feet. Not that I'm one to talk. I always drag a boot when I get to the tight stuff before I remember to bring my feet father back :annoy:
I always think I'm riding hard, but haven't drug anything yet (except my boots as above) with the exception that I HAVE banged the centrestand down through very bumpy turns.
So it seems for me there is more bike there than there is rider. So much for my Rossi illusions.

So much for my Rossi illusions.
You and I have plenty of company in that illusion.

I was on the balls of my feet. It wore out on the outer toe. I just didn't have my foot as far in as I possibly could. When I do, it doesn't drag when I do that. Wide foot syndrome. :duh:

Duck footed rider syndrome
