Hello.
I have a bandit which is very difficult to start, i cleaned carps and have ben running it but it died again, i think it is a bad cdi due to liquid damage, but there is no paper/ID on the CDI, the little paper with cdi informations felt off a couple of years ago, so i cant check that way.
how can i check the cdi?
and can someone tell me, why the little metal plate holding the vin number, model, aso, on the front fork, is saying model: gk75b and the vin number: gk75a 1234123...
It seens like being 2 different bikes on the same metal plate ?

IIRC the only bastard CDI was the 1993 model in the states. I'm not versed on the ROW models.
90-92 could use the same, 93 had a different pickup, cams and slightly different timing. Though I've used a 93 CDI in my bike before to get me home.
The CDI should have a label on it. Apparently you can find ebay replacements as low as $60 now.

Hi. and thanks for the reply.
The problem is, that the label is gone ;(
but did i get it correct, that there is only 2 different CDI's, for for v. 93 and the other one, for the rest of the bikes?

In the states anyway.
