Okay, so today I made an observation. She will sit and idle nicely at 1400 or whatever rpms forever. PROVIDED she is in neutral. Pull the clutch in and put her in gear, and she dies.

What happens if you put her on the centrestand, and do it?  (You may have to give her enough gas to keep running.)  Does the rear wheel spin quite quickly with the clutch lever pulled in all the way?  Does she try to creep forward when you're at a light with the bike in first?

The rearwheel does spin quite quickly, and to my eye, there is no difference with the clutch in or out.

Does she creep forward if you don't hold the brake?

Ok, so I adjusted the clutch now per the manual. And now at least, she doesn't try to creep forward while she's in gear, and I can rev her in gear with the clutch in and that's still the case. However I still have the same prob. Decelerating to stop, the bike quits. It did it last night on the way to a friends house, however, in the early morning around 4, on my way back home, it was fine.

Cool well most likely if this is the case the bike starts cold runs fine get warm shut down and wont restart till it cools a bit the pickup coil could be the problem. If this is not the case this info may help another person cheers
