I noticed going up some relatively steep inclines yesterday that my engine revs would drop. Is this normal? Is it something to do with the floats? Thanks.

Depends on the gear you are in. If you want to race uphill you have to keep it at 12500 RPM and then shift up. It will get you up there pretty fast

Well, it didn't feel like a gravity issue, it felt like fuel flow was being affected. Perhaps it was just gravity, I'll have to try a higher rev next time to see if it feels the same way.
