Post by: greatmoorred on November 18, 2009, 12:47:03 PM
Just a quickie.
Ive ordered a new clutch cable for the bandit.
Is it easy to fit ? Or a pain in the arse ?

Ok, back at my home pc now.
Ive looked at the manual, and it doesnt really give instructions.
The clutch lever has always been really stiff, making a long ride quite painful early on in the year ( until my muscles gets used to it )
So will a new cable make it lighter to pull in ?
Or is it easier to adjust the cable already there.
It only cost £10.

Yep, what he said.  When I replaced my cable it only took about 1/3 the pressure.  Now that I think about it, it's prolly time to relube.

Which is easier?  Six and a half dozen.  Replacing means taking it off and putting it on, lubing means standing there and sliding the cable in and out for a bit.  Both are easy enough.  Personally, unless I saw signs of wear at the cable ends, I'd just lube it to keep up my cheap bastard facade.
