Hey all,
I'm thinking of getting new plugs for my bike. I know the manual asks for NGK CR8EK plugs, but after a quick check with my local dealer, they are $15 a piece!
The CR8E is 1/3 the cost, at $5 each. I saw both plugs, and the CR8E seems to be a standard plug, whereas the EK version has two electrodes.
If i recall correctly, the last time I took out my plugs for inspection, they were normal, single electrode plugs.
So do I have to opt for the EK versions? Or should I just stick with the E?

ek's are correct but you can run either sorta like the Ferrari of plugs the ek your just opting for the station wagon.

I always just spend the $60... it's a small price to pay once a year. In theory the EK's should last longer and hold a gap better as it only sparks from whichever electrode is closest to ground.

For that money you can have Iridium plugs as well.

But if you have carb issues the cheaper is the better till you get it fixxed.
