:banghead: I just picked up a '90 gsf250 and it seems you gotta be on the other side of the pond to get parts for these bikes (i live in Ontario,Canada). Im still searching for a repair manual and a parts fiche to see if i can match parts up with other bikes. im currently looking for brake pads front and rear...they seem to match the SUZUKI '89-'96 GS500E as far as i can tell by looking at a parts fiche but if anyone could provide some definate answers as to which models have the same parts as my bike it would be a HUGE help. :thanks:

There's a whole thread dedicated to that for the 400 mate, clicky (http://forums.banditalley.net/index.php?topic=12117.0). Should be some things of help in there for the 250 :thumb:

 THANK YOU, The thread was of some help. I will be committed to contributing to this thread as i find out what bikes are compatible with the GSF250 (part specific). I encourage other b250 riders to post as well

I'm trying to find carbs kit or carb maintenance kit for my GSF250 bandit (BDST30 Mikuni) :banghead:, my mechanic told me that CBR250RR 1989 carb's (VG01A) seems to be compatible for gsf250 :yikes:. I'm not sure that it's ok!!! Any ideas about that???

From what I have discovered the 400 supplied to the UK (single front disk) shares "most parts" with the 250's apart from......
Frame, some differences around the engine mount points.
Engine...Totally different
Tank and side panels.....Again Totally different.
Carbs and airbox.....Totally different.
Rear Tyre is 140 as opposed to a 150 on the 400's
Crank ignition pickup has a different resistance when tested electrically.
As you say some parts (single front disc) and rear brakes, wheels and levers/controls are the same as other Suzuki bikes.
Try searching here for parts.........www.wemoto.com as they also provide dimensions of parts for comparison.

I don't have any information, but I do have a question. Are the brake rotors for a Bandit 250, front and rear, compatible with any other year/make/model bike?

Yes, lots of Suzukis but you will need to check, see www.wemoto.com and then compare results for gsf250 with results for other models ie GS500, gsf 600, gsf 400, rf 600 etc. etc.
Twin disc front rotors on gsf 400's are smaller than single disc ones on 250's so beware.

Carbs are made by companies that sell to the big bike manufacturers. I'd say if the Mech says it will fit, and he's a good mechanic, it's likely not a totally far fetched idea. I have a Honda Regulator Rectifier on Dita. It was Cheaper, and available. 2 things that Suzuki didn't believe in for that part despite it sharing with a current to late model GS500.

See my post (now stickied) re 250 stuff. FWIW Suzuki 250's use Mikuni carbs, Honda allways (?) used Kiehin carbs (a Honda subsidiary I think)
