I'd love to remove the passenger seat from the b4. Any ideas? Do most people fab their own part, or is there a place you can buy one? Any instruaction/tips?

It's called a Seat Cowl... can be bough through Wild Hair:

Suzuki made one. So did a German company, Gimble. I have a Gimble on my bike. Wild Hair was the only place I knew of handling the Gimble in the US. Maybe email them? I've hear that the owner there, Efran I believe, is a good guy.

i didn't realize they were so expensive :(
I'm spending an awful lot of money on a bike that I was supposed to have sold a while ago. :boohoo:

I had the same problem on my 600, couldn't find anything decent for ages. Ended up buying a race back end cheap from ebay and cutting it to bits to make my own. If your're handy with fibreglass and filler it'll be no problem...messy tho!!

(http://s52.photobucket.com/albums/g13/custom600/th_DSC00187.jpg)And this is the nearly finished seat, needs proffesional spray job!!
There are loads of race seats cheap on ebay, don't matter if they are damaged if you're gona cut them up either.

Im sorry but that is just butt UGLY :duh:

I dont think that is legal in the US either. Just for the US people!

Thanks, but I decided not to go for the pretty look. Gone for the real streetfighter look instead.

WELL it looks like it got into a fight and lost :stickpoke:
-
I think it looks kinda cool. The whole point of the streetfighter thing is too look different.
-
Suppose as long as I like it, it don't really matter. It's one of those things that you either really like or really dislike... Guess you've made your mind up Thief 400.
-
I like the way your bike looks. How about more photos? Is that an sv rear wheel? is the swingarm stock? Photos please. when I first saw it I thought it was one of the confederate bikes. Great job
-
Cheers 400runner.
Not got anymore photos as yet, I'm still waiting for a Renthal rear sprocket. The wheel is from a 1200 Bandit with a 190 tyre on! The swingarm is a standard one with all brackets removed and smoothed then powdercoated matt black. Heres a bigger picture of my avatar for a closer look. The seat is still waiting a proffesional spray job too, it's primer at the moment.

I've fitted indicators front and rear today. Might see what a clear lense looks like in the black seat for the rear light?!? Need to sort a number plate light out too.
-
C6, you gonna put padding on that?
What about skipping paint and just covering the whole thing in vinyl?
When I first saw this bigger picture, that's what I thought you'd done. Then I read the post and learned it was just primer.
-
... Need to sort a number plate light out too.
You may want to look into some sort of a rear sprocket, too. :stickpoke:
I do like seeing that back tire exposed like that. That's why I'm hugger-less.
-
Thats not a bad idea about the vinyl, I'll try and dig some out 2moro
Sprocket should of come at begining of the week, but had an email today saying it got lost somehow, so another should be with me tomorrow...we'll see :?:
Yeh I like the open back look, but think it will need a hugger/mudguard for the MOT?!?!?
Few little things in the picture that have been sorted now. It has a clear round rear brake reservoir and clear piping. Oh and has has a proper exhaust bracket now too. Oh....and a new torque arm is needed as the old one looks a bit close the that 190 tyre, the list goes on...
MMmmm  must find vinyl..........
