Pingel is a petcock manufacturer.
The vacuum signal hose is a small hose on the backside of the OEM petcock. When the engine fires, it creates a vacuum that activates a diaphram that starts fuel flow.
Check and see if there is fuel in the signal hose first, if dry it's good. This means it could be a case of you having to replace the float valves in the carbs. Those are cheaper than a petcock for sure.
