I like it.  Paint looks fine in the pictures...maybe flaws aren't showing?  Did that windscreen come like that, or did you have to buy a sheet of carbon fiber-look and apply it yourself?

The screen come like that.

Bought it from Hein Gericke.

Theres a slight scuff on the left hand side of the rear plastics where someone reversed into the bike and knocked it over and theres just the usual scrates from age on the tank.

The bandit stickers on the back panel have faded a bit so thats why im going for the respray.

Me and my dad do all the repairs and maintenence so it wont cost a lot.

Cheers, steph

did you paint the engine covers or did it come stock like that?
what continent are you from?
how did you get a hold of a VVT?
do you have a limited stock fairing hiding somewhere too?

From looking at the plate and the little hex shaped holder (tax/rego?) on the radiator, I'd say Steph's not on any continent, but on the British Isles... where they got the privelige of buying new VVT's at the local Suzi store back in the day.

Hey guys thanks for your comments.

b4cruz: The engine covers, i sprayed them with a high gloss black high temperature engine paint. Just in an aerosol can but it worked really well. I sprayed the whole engine before i swapped it with my 2nd engine.

I live in England. and i bought the VV model from a private seller. saw it in the bike trader when it was basically scrap and wouldnt run and have been doing it up.

I dont have any fairings for it. I fancied putting a full fairing on it from a gixxer 400 but havent got round to looking for one.

The race tuned engine - well basically i bought a second hand engine from a guy on e-bay.
When i recieved it it had lockwire on it and the clutch was different so initially i thought he'd just been a bit of a boy racer and just made it look to be a race bike.
But it has different cams in the engine which has made the timing different and the carb intakes are slightly bigger.

It can be a pain to start because its cammy but once its warmed up it flies.

A lot quicker than the normal VV engine i used to have in it. and it sounds great too. Still have a standard exhaust but because of the different cams it sounds really deep and throaty!

Nice!

Hope this answered your Q's.

Cheers, Steph
