Pipes??
«
on:

I have two sets of pipes for my B4. One set is straight header type and the other has crossovers just before the 4 pipes go into the 1. Is there any advantage to those small crossovers, if that is what they are called?
Thanks

The one's with crossovers are what i assume to be standard pipes. The crossovers make the pipe more like a 4 into 2 into 1 which leads to more low-mid range power at the sacrifice of a little bit of top end.

OK thanks.
I think I'll leave the crossover pipes in the spares bin then. I can get those adjustments, one way or the other with gearing.

On a pipe note im going to be personally making 5 custom pipes out of ti if anyone wants one made to the specs of my factory Suzuki kit headers on my 73 but i can bend them for the 75. I'm only going to make five as i dont want to really get into the pipe business. Will be lots of welds and really rainbow colored headers.

im thinking 400-500 depending on ease of the ti (which right now is no problem) and the time it takes. I bought a welder to fix my truck LOL

hopefully in $... right jay? are you using thin wall tubing? just warning you thats its really easy to burn a hole really quick if you get to hot. even easier with stick and mig. trust me... i know..
haha banditmax. i think there is a guy in uk that is getting custom pipes made and is selling a couple sets i think? I remember reading it on the gsxr400 forums some were... right jay? i don't know if he is still following that plan still. also you think your going to make a 4-2-1-2 pipes jay? i might have some extra cash in a few months if thats not to late.

yeah thoat would be me mate Stripes or Daz i think they got them made but sort of a hassle to get still and i want TI and want the same pattern as my bike since my headers are so rare. Like i said if i do it i will make 5 pipe in TI any way you want them to come out you install your own can.
