HI Thief400!

Thanks for the link!  I bid and won the auction!  I was looking for a windscreen for her, but didn't like anything out there!  This oughta be fun!

Congrats on picking it up.  If I remember correctly they sold in the neighborhood of $250.00 new back in the day, and they're probably pretty rare now.

 :congrats:

Woohoo!! Better deal than I thought ;)  I really only thought that it was going to be about $20 (once shipping was included ) more than a butt firggin ugly "universal" windscreen here!

Nice pick-up, Stormi.  I had been watching that auction, too.  That same guy has another nice fairing  (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4555007965&ssPageName=MERC_VIC_ReBay_Pr4_PcY_BID)for sale too...

Wow, I didn't know those factory fairings were rare.  I have one that's not being used if anyone is interested.  It's in better shape than the one on ebay, and could probably be cleaned up even more.  Hmmmmm....

I'd love one of those factory fairings.  I've lost on a couple of them on ebay over the last year or so.  I'm in saving mode right now, though.  Trying to get on the track!  No more toys til then.

(Speaking of that... I've got leathers for sale (http://forums.banditalley.net/viewtopic.php?t=1440) if anyone is interested!)

Thanks! I thought there might be a few of us watching.  When it hi t9mins before the end of the auction, I figured what the hell.   I saw that one too,... but I'm not a fan of red, so would have had to had it painted (Especially to match my black lady)

It seems to me that alitle wash and a bit of buffing should put this one into fairly good shape.  It certainly won't look much worse than any o fht rest of her paint.

I'll be sure to post up here to let you all know how it looks once I get it and put it on.  It comes just in time, since we just bought a house in a "commuter town" so I'll be on the highway a lot more in about 4 weeks.

I don't think the leathers will fit me, but good luck with that
