My rear stock shock is shot to shit, say that 10x fast! I have what I think is a Bandit 600 1gen Shock in good condition off a very low mi bike, is it worth the effort to swap it in now, so as I can have a decent shock and not bounce off bumps every time I ride till I can pick up a better replacement, or will the improvement not warrant the effort of replacement? any tips? ALso will need to replace fork seals, any tips?

Since your original is shot, yes, it would be worth the swap! :thumb:

The effort of replacement is not so great that it outweighs the benefit of ditching the stocker. I say go ahead with the swap; it really isn't terrible to do and you will thank yourself for it. Having the serivce manual handy is a plus - I acquired it on disk and the laptop sits right on the workbench so torque specs and things of the sort are right on hand when needed.
Good luck! :thumb:

Definately worth putting a new shocker on. It will only take you a couple of hours. Take the seat off, take the air box off and you can get to the top nut , the bottom nut is relatively straightforward, if a bit rusty. It will drop out of the bottom.
