hey.... i am new here ......so sorry for my bad english ;-) ( danish)
i have a B4 from 93...... and the rew counter (dont know the reel name of it)
has the redline start at 13.000 rpm and stops at 16.000......( the limiter sets in at 13.500rpm)
but some of early models has the redline start at 14.000 rpm.. and first stops at 18.000 rpm...
enybody who knows the differense of those bikes???
is it only the CDI box??....... or are there diffrent cams..carbs. etc etc??
-
15000 RPM NONE GO TO 18000
-
the 93 had different cam profiles compared to the 91/92's A stock 91 doesn't make power above 12500 anyways so there is no reason to rev them to the limiter anyways even if its at 14000
-
^^^ what Theif said.
Your english is very good, actually better than most americans...
The guage is called a tachometer, sometimes called a rev counter.
Welcome to the board. :beers:

But if the 91/92's and the 93´s have different cam profiles....
Does that mean that 93 power´s better above 12,500 rpm..???
and what about the valve springs??
i have also heard that the gsx-r 400 can pull 16,000 rpm
I have a gsx-r 400 CDI on my bike... so i have to know, if i blow my engine whit that cdi-box
-
gsxr400 racer : PS....it is only the gauge that goes to 18,000 rpm.... ;-)
-
cool, misunderstood him there a bit.
Valve springs are the same as gixxer 400, so you are good to go. if it blows up it is because of something else!
-
ok....cool
do you know where i can get a org. suzuki service-manual on the 400 gixxer...???
the only one i can find is written in japan......( and i cant read japan... ;-) )
-
the manual is damn near the same as the bandit motor wise it is sept for a few odds and sods, but you can try this wonderful site www.gsxr400.com

Good day,
is it true that our bandit 400v had a limiter?
