FED UP WITH RUNNING ON 3 CYLINDERS WHEN WET

Hi there, Im fed up with my '96 bandit 400 v running on 3, or sometimes 2 when it gets wet or foggy. I think its all down to the coils, i.e. the fact that they arnt water proof like the 600 ones.
I have found these:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/LOOK-RARE-GENUINE-SUZUKI-GSF600-GSF-600-BANDIT-COILS_W0QQitemZ190063879083QQihZ009QQcategoryZ10534QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
or these:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/GSF-600-1200-BANDIT-COILS-AND-LEADS-STREETFIGHTER_W0QQitemZ110074649250QQihZ001QQcategoryZ10534QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
If the HT leads are long enough and the mounting point similar, will they be a direct replacement?
cheers
Ben

i know exactly what you mean
i carry a can in my backpack which dissipates moisture for starting problems in rain or for hard rain and the B4 suddenly prefers 3 cilinders
cleaning the coils and putting some grease on them also helps, but a new coil would probably fix it way better

Two words. Wiki Silicone.
I had the same problem. I siliconed where the wire meets the cap and where the caps meet the valve covers and never had the problem again. I also replaced all the spade connecters that attach to the coils around the same time so that might also be the fix... whatever it was I've never had a problem since.

I had this problem after I replaced the stock sparkplug caps with other ones that had no bend in them. I replaced them with caps that have a bend and the problem was gone.

does anyone know if using a different coil would harm the bike, at the current price, I wouldnt mind chucking 10pounds at the problem. I've tried instant gasket at the coils and at the plugs didnt seem to solve it.
At least im not the only one.

My B4 drops to three cylinders in
very
heavy rain too. You can see the HT lead for the number 1 cylinder shorting to the frame. I moved it and it's temporarily stopped it.
