Hi guys
Anyone ever fit or tried to fit some of the newer style silencers to their 400 ? I'm looking to replace my stock (heavy) silencer with an aftermarket one but I'm not fond of the long old school type pipes. Here is my Bandit.

If you cut the muffler off the stock pipe, you can install any style slip-on that will fit the pipe.
To get something that ends shorter than that (as is the latest style) may be more difficult since you'd probably have to attach at the collector.

Cut off old can buy short new slip on can and bolt on. Simple as that.

I cut mine off and put on a Supertrapp. I think it sounds wonderful :bigok: it's pretty short too.

I do like the Yoshi which they fit to GSXR's. Is the short pipe the only silencer or do they have another silencer box ? Must say Bandits sounds cool even with the stock muffler !

Mine was cut at the collector. F1 pipe = LOUD!!! The OD of the opening is only 1.5" so we're going to have to fab up a baffle for it as I don't think we'd be able to find an off-the-shelf one that small. If someone knows of one that would fit, please let me know!
