Sintered brake pads on single disk GSF400?
« on: June 23, 2014, 08:08:09 AM »
Hi all,

I'm looking to replace my front pads.. last time I used lucas organic pads, but this time I'm looking at trying some sintered ones from different brands.. I feel like I have to pull the lever quite hard (already have braded lines and no air).

Anyway, since my GSF400 only has 1 disk and it's already close to 25 years with 67000kms on the clock, I was wondering whether sintered pads won't wear the disk too hard?

On other bikes the stopping power is divided over 2 disks..

I'm looking at (for example) EBC FA129HH.

Thanks

EBCs can be quite aggressive on discs

Dunlopad HHs are supposed to be good

I always use Bendix MRR race pads, but MF sintereds would be good too

Just ordered some DP pads.. standard one.
On DP-brakes it says they are HH+ and sintered:
