I got clothes and a palm pilot for school! :beers:
-
I got Pilot Race H2's for the Bandit and a motorcycle tire changer (no more $50 changes for me!!!). The rest was nice, but not worth mentioning.
PS: Hope to get annual sex (get your minds out of the gutter, it is spelled right) with the wife on New Years (Woo Hoo!!!)

Lube is your freind!! Oh I meant about the tire changer! :stickpoke:
-
New digital camera (Kodak Z740)
VHS/DVD Player
Creeper for the garage
a Stephen Hawking book (this one has pictures at least)
A couple bottles of booze :beers:
No motorcycle stuff this year, so i guess I'm gonna buy my own. :bigok:
-
JVC 30W585 30" CRT Widescreen
New Dirt Bike riding gear!!! HJC Helmet, MSR Pants & Jersey
(It really was a surprise!!)
Plus, I had my oldest daughter and husband home for the holidays.
It's a good year.
-
The Office series 1 DVD, Little Britain series 2 DVD, and socks. And money!
-
I bought tile for my bathroom for my wife and I.(A tilesetter always puts his own house last.I've had a Durock wainscoat around the bathroom since summer) I figure if I do a few things around the house,it might be easier to get a track bike.
-
A nice battery/trickle charger for the Saab (I only drive it every couple of weeks), lots o' candy, Mexican cokes, two crystal iced tea glasses (replacements for broken ones in my late parents' set...like new Fostoria...company long out of business), undies, socks, black jeans, knit shirt......
And a big-ass foot & a half long Harley motorcycle telephone thing.  From friends. Every year I get something with the Harley brand on it. Last year it was a calender. Now it's a freakin' desk telephone that looks like an Electra-Glide or something!
Now, I made nice and I really do appreciate the thought, but what possesses normally intelligent people to buy a life-long Suzuki guy a Harley-Davidson toy?! Not to mention I'm frackin' 49 years old! Oh, hell, I know. They're only thinking bike present, not bike brand.
Now I gotta figure out where it came from and take it back.
-
The usual stuff, a calander, some deoderant, a box of razor blades...
Oh, and one of those spiffy Ipod Video things!
Although I haven't actually gotten it yet...
I'm secretly hoping for a new helmet or some other gear for my birthday, though. We'll see. Actually, an awesome present would be for the stupid mechanic to answer his freaking phone and tell me my bike is done, and that since he's taken so long, there will be no further charge!
-
Well I got a Digatron DT 54sn EGT gauge and data logger for my race sled, It will record up to 4 egt's, water temp, mph, rpm, jack shaft speed and lap times
Its nice cause i can use it to jet the bike at the track as well with the 4 egt input, just have to add the bungs to my header pipes,
Also got a new cell phone , audiovox 8615 and a lazer level, think the last one was a hint to finish the rec room in the basment
Hope all have a safe holiday season
-
I had a few good presents, one of those sony walkmans was pertty nice
also got a fair bit of climbing gear: guide book and a few Tri Cams
and a really cool Cheese knife!
-
Got a book, a DVD some cash... and a bill to pay the annual insurance :rant2:
Merry Christmas everybody!!
-
No m/c stuff this year, but then I didn't have anything on my wish list anyway.
Clothes (fleece, hooded & lined flannel, socks, underwear, couple of Henlet long sleeve tees)
Books (several Tom Clancy & Steven Coonts novels and some true story books of the Iraq conflict)
LED/Xenon bulb flashlight that strap on your head - this thing is GREAT! I've already put it to good use several times already!
Jeep logo hat & coffee cup
Dual layer DVD burner for the 'puter. (Burning a replacement copy of Faster disc 2 as I type this)
It was a light Christmas this year since I was on strike a few months ago and I'm the sole income.
-
Hope to get annual sex with the wife on New Years (Woo Hoo!!!)
Santa gave me my virginity back, because it's been so long since I've gotten any. :duh:
Mexican coke
!!!
-
Firstgear H/T Overpants, a new tail bag and a buddy of mine made up this sweet little camera mount for my tank (I could not afford to by the sport bike cam mount and it pays to have a friend that is a kick ass machinist)

Christmas Eve and Christmas day brought some beautiful 80°F weather and my sister in-laws old man brought his Honda down from Northern Cal. so we left the girls to play with there Christmas presents and we hit the canyons and shot some videos!

It was a moto XMAS but mostly for my track bike. I have a small two stroke that I will be racing next season so it needed some serious hopping up - among other things I now have a better carb and pipe. The bandit got some barend mirrors. I'm hoping that the pistons for the 400 arrive soon and then I'll start her complete refurbishment...which will eventually include those barend mirrors.
-
I had a great 6 days off with my little kiddies which is about the best thing I could have asked for. I didn't get anything for the bike but got a little cash to put toward a track day. Other than that, got some hunting and fishing stuff, clothes... like that. I had a great holiday and have NO desire to go back to work tomorrow.

I got this! Bought it from board member Azvista455.

Nice looking bike Russ!
The header looks unusual, is that the ceramic coating I've heard about, or something else? Also, I like your rim colour. Are they stock Suzuki, or did you have them powder coated to match the frame?
-
Thanks, but I just bought the bike less than a couple weeks ago. John did all the work...so far. :)
Here's an old pic of what it used to look like.
Since the pic, he painted/installed the rear cowl, replaced the front end with a katana 600, and painted lots of parts. Not too sure about the wheels though. I believe he painted the entire exhaust with high-temperature paint.
I got a donor bike's worth of parts in the deal too. Contemplating another project (track bike) or selling most of the parts. Don't know which one will take more time. :)
Now that I look at the pic, I remember the rear wheel from the parts bike is white and the front stock bandit is silver. I guess that either the front, or both wheels on there have been resprayed.

Hey Russ, you didn't post any of the pics with the supermodels on your bike...
As for the wheels, I'm pretty sure the US market B4's that came with the silver frames had silver wheels. The bikes with body colored frames had white wheels. Other merkets that got twin disc front ends stock also came with black wheels in certain years.
-
Nice XMAS present! Enjoy yourself.
-
jcmjrt, Thanks! I am!
Red01,
Yep, that's my understanding too. But I have a parts bike with a silver frame, silver front wheel, and white rear wheel. :?:
I checked it out last night, and it appears my rims on the bike now were sprayed a pewter color to match the frame (which was sprayed pewter). I'm pretty sure the bike used to be red, which would indicate a red frame and white wheels for 91? If you check the old pic, you can see the slight difference in color between the pewter frame and silver wheels. I don't know. I think it looks pretty good though.
If I posted the pics I have of the supermodels, I would have to get the rights to the photos (probably cost me a fruit rollup or two), compensate them (maybe a ride around the backyard on the mini bike), and deal with their agent (Mommy). Too much hassle.

FWIW - Red on red '93s also had silver wheels. '91 &'92s had white.
Nice lookin' ride, Russ!

I just figured the white wheel came from a different bike than the silver frame & wheel...
