1) check and make sure the  choke is not stuck on.
2) check and make sure the throttle cable is adjusted correctly and nothing else is pushing on it.

Hmmmm...................

checked the idle, its fine, and its ok sometimes,
it has its tantrems when im turning around or something it kicks up in the revs

this sounds like your throttle cable is being snagged on something as you turn.
check that its routed properly.
Do you have the stock handlebars or aftermarket ones? you might need to have a longer throttle cable made up if you have aftermarket bars that are higher/wider than stock.

I have renthal style bars, im looking at replacing them with proper renthals
as the person who did the job on these ones wasnt very good,
and the controls move about a bit,

Will run through the cable tomorrow turning the handlebars,
the cable does sit abit 4" higher then it did with the old clip-ons,

it does it while standing still aswell is what gets me , i start it up
and it goes up in the revs, then i stop it move it to the position i wona go in
and start and go, and its fine, if i leave it to warm up a bit it will just rev its
***s off......

What you are describing now sounds like an air leak problem. High idle and surging. Or your ilde circuit/air screws need adjusting.

Start by checking carb and intake manifold mounting bolts and look for cracks or problems with the manifold. Then check your air screw settings. Also, take your air cleaner out and look at it. Is it OK? or does it need cleaning or replacing?

it seems to be fine now, its just a bit cold weather that is bothering it now,
as it cuts out at every traffic light or when i stop
 without holding the revs up...

getting a new thorttle cable / crank case covers / new headlamp ( as mines about as bright as a crappy torch from ASDA )
and hopefully a new clutch cable.. off my mates bandit ( which has a TL1000 clutch cable on it, if that makes a differance )
